There's a Monster in my Bedroom!

After watching an animation of Mercer Mayer's "There's a Nightmare in my Closet" the 4th graders created crayon resist paintings of their own bedrooms based on Vincent van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles.
Their paintings had to have a monster and Van Gogh's wall shape and floor.

This student hadn't finished when I photographed but I loved the bunk beds!

Blogging

After observing yet another awesome art teacher, I have been convinced that blogging is almost a necessity for art teachers, especially new art teachers. So, I am starting my own blog and seeing what happens. If nothing else it will be a place where my mother can come to see all the awesome artwork my students have been creating.
